You will then be able to click on a provided link in order to receive/read the contact data of the student/client in order to get in touch with him/her. Additionally you will receive a receipt of your registration. In case you will not receive this confirmation email, something might have technically gone wrong. Possibly you did not provide a correct email address, or the confirmation email has been sorted out by your anti-spam software. You might have a look at the spam folder (unwanted emails folder) at your email provider/ email client. Should you still have problems to find this email please do not hesitate to contact our support team. If you'd like to change some of your data after the registration you can do so by entering your user account via LOGIN. > Link: Support | Link: user administration Search How can I find pupils/students/clients? You do not need to laboriously search classifieds databases for potentially outdated tutoring/student's postings. Simply register via the registration form on our website and let us serve you: we will find all suitable postings/requests, inform the student that there might be a new tutor (anonymously) and send you the tutoring job offers by email and/or SMS/textmessage. You may have a look at the offers in your user account at any time. Job offers How will I receive tutoring job offers? You will receive job offers by email and/or by SMS/textmessage or by a member of our support team calling you by phone as soon as you register or if there will be a new student/institution which suits to your profile or requests contact especially with with you. Getting in touch / make a contact How can I get in touch with the students? Simply fill out the registration form which you can find at "registration" . Immediately after your registration the server will seek corresponding offers and will dispatch proposals to the email account you had indicated. You will be informed directly about the number of candidates found right after your registration. You can also see these proposals at the job offer list in user account. Afterwards please turn to your email account and click on the inquiry mails (" Are you interested...?") There you will find anonymous details about your prospective pupil/tutor. However, until that point contact details are still not indicated. Provided the profil meets with your approval considerably, click on a express link at the end of the email. Thereby you simutanously give the order to submit you all available information in order to avoid that you have to take notes of them yourelf e.g. by hand or on your computer. It is to be noted that all your activities are recorded and the response times are calculated by the server: As a result of this and many other factors, your activities in connection with private-tutors will draw up a statistic profile from which someone would be able to gain an impression upon your manner of work, i.e. you are reliable because you have always replied to offers without delay etc. Another part of your profile are comments made by pupils about your personality, i.e. friendly, polite and motivating etc. It haven't probably escaped your noticed so far that the period of time within you response plays a major part in the arrangement of business relations for you. The system will - show details about the pupil - send the tutor and the pupil a confirmation which informs them that their contact details have been handed over to the other party and at the same time furnish information about the other part advised. By this method both parties are informed. However, we urgently recommend: Please get in touch with the person directly as you will have the phone and often the mobile number as well at your diposal. According to our experiences that would establish a famlilar basis with the person and usually a agreement is found faster. Moreover, emails are frequently overlooked or get even lost. Often they remain without a reply if further calls are not made. Addtionally it would be advisable to announce the call by email As for each inquiry several tutors are furnished with the details of the offer, please do not defer with contacting the pupil, in case your are interested. user administration, user account Where can I find the user administration/ my user account? What can I do there?How can I login? Please find your user account administration on LOGIN on the frist page. As a registered user you are able to change subsequently the information you frist had indicated - Emailadress - password - your addresss - search radius - skills, subjects etc. There you are also able to activate the facilities "holiday status", notification by textmessages and our Premium Membership. There, in case of open arrangments, you can also reach the feedback system. However, if no open arrangements are registered, the feedbacksystem is not available. textmessage/SMS-notification What is the purpose of the textmessage/SMS-notification? Question: Will I receive commercials/advertisment textmessages/SMS if I activate textmessage notification? No way! The sole purpose of the textmessage notification is to support and make the matching service faster and more effective. You will only be notified about a new job offer which has been sent to your email account so that you can respond fast. Question: I have activated SMS/textmessage notification in my user account but I do not receive any textmessage although I receive job offers by email. Why that? Answer: Due to efficiency for each inquiry only a limited number of textmessages are sent. If, for example, thirty inquiries for private lessons in London are dispatched e.g. only the first seven will receive a textmessage notification according to an internal ranking order which results from many different factors/criteria such as frequency of arrangements, frequency of feedbacks, response time, assessments/feedback provided by the students, etc.). For it does not makes sense to send repeatedly textmessages to someone who regularly answers these job offers/request only after some days. You could improve your ranking by giving feedback more frequently (not too often! ;-)) or by achieving good assessments from customers like pupils or parents. P.S: Please check your mobile phone number in your user account for typing errors. upload image How can I upload an image, foto or an illustration to my profile? In case you did not manage to upload the picture together with the registration, it can also convenviently be done later in the user account. There it is also possible to preview your picture itself or as thumbnail-image / preview image. Please take care to choose the adequate format e.g. Jpg or Gif and ensure that the size of the picture to be uploaded is neither too big, too tall or too wide. In order to generate a new name of the picture the system will slightly adjust it if necessary. You will receive the two versions of the image by email so that you can use the already fitted picture somewhere else,too! :-) That's what you can call service, isn't it? :-) Note: These images don't have to be images of the tutors,a simple illustration will certainly flavour your profile and will make it look more friendly and inviting as well. Vitaly important: Images mustn't neither violate copyright nor content any objectionable material. In case of doubts the publishment will be obstructed by our support staff. Illustration must be self-provided grafics and mustn't content names,advertising messages or URLs (internet addresses) etc. Contaventions will be persecuted by blocking your account respectively by prohibition of using our services again for good. Feedback System / giving feedback What is the Feedback System/ feedback form? By using the online feedback system in your user account you can easily and fast give feedback about the current state of a hook-up simply by clicking on the suitable feedback option. Every feedback activity will be accredited positively in our internal ranking system. The gained scores can be seen in your user account and will take effect at the next time a new student is searching for a tutor: those who feedback well, act fast and have successfull hook-ups will rise within the internal ranking and the external search postitions. This results in more requests /job offers and textmessage notifications for those who really support this service and who really have interest in tutoring. Those who provide information will be informed. ;-) How does it work? The feedback form is accessible only if you have received contact data of a student/client. Example:

There you will be able to provide information about the development of the business relation e.g. a contact has been established and a trial lesson is agreed but it hasn't been held so far. Or both parties got in touch but weren't able to come to an agreement. Whatsoever the case is all information provided on the feedback facility are recorded and will be acknowledged by email towards both parties. By the way, in case you wish to delete your proflie please take into account that this is only possible if no open arrangements are registered on your account. This was intoduced for security reasons so that a user account cannot be deleted accidentally and we therefore ask for your appreciation. If an business relation between tutor and pupil finally comes into existence, the pupil, the parents or the company will fill out a short questionnaire about their impression of the tutor. Postive attributes like friendly, sympathic, proficient, well prepaired, fllexibel or reliable can be choosen for this. However, no destructive comments are allowed. Please let us know in case accidentally you have been rated negativly. The author of this comment is always indicated in the feedback report. Why do I have to give feedback? The whole system depends on you giving feedback. Without the confirmation that e.g. an arrangement has been or has not been established, delayed etc. or without the feedback about the quality of the contact/tutor www.maths-london.com would be neither as efficient as it is now nor would it be possible to keep up our favourable prices. In case you like spending money on services which possibly lead to nowhere, please feel free to change your service provider. ;-)) Please consider the practical side of it: If you don't give feedback you won't receive the further offers or feedbackpoints. Tutors with the most feedbackpoints and points for efforts receive offers primarily. Moreover, only a limited number of textmessages are sent since we believe that it is not sensible to send expensive textmessages to somebody who certainly may be pleased to receive one but then fails to react to it. ;-) Ranking system What is this Ranking? The ranking accrues from statisic information which have been summerised. Most of them can be found on your user account administration. Here are some factors which have an postive influence upon your ranking: - speed of response - frequency of giving feedback - ratings by pupil or parents - estimations by the staff of www.maths-london.com - number of successful arrangements - etc. fees What do I have to pay for a hook-up with a pupil/student? As a private tutor, that means a person who does not work as a tutor as a full time job or for a tutoring institute/professional tutoring service, etc. this service is 100% free of charge. For tutoring services or professional tutors the first successfull hook-up will be free of charge! Only from the 2nd successfull hook-up there will be a one-time fee of EUR 7.00. If there should be only a one-time date between the tutor and the student a reduction of the fee may be asked for - therefore please contact our support team. A surprisingly often asked question: > How much money can I ask for my tutoring service per hour? As a skilled tutor you shouldn't let yourself be underpaid - 15 to 30€ are reasonable. However, in the frist conversation try to find out the real requirements of the pupil, the parent or the company and than adjust your services and salary expectations. Expect some cases where the financial and social standing may be critical, the salary will be an expression of the appreciation for your work. In case the tennis training is more expensive than the tutoring lessons, it is to be considered if a babysitter would be rather advisable than a tutor:-) Who can you call a skilled and competent tutor? When a primary-school pupil needs a patient tutor to overcame his difficulties with orthography an unpatient maths student would't be skilled enough. Qualifications cannot be judged upon the educational level. Practice a sound estimation of yourself and put this in the right propotion with the economic possibiltes of the pupil, parents or the instiution.

In that case all you'll have to do is await the tutor reacting i.e. a email which will advise you that the tutor has picked up your contact details. Provided you didn't accidentally interruppted while registering, there three possible reasons: 1. The process of search yield no recent results for your region and subjects.
